Glam Beach Wedding in Navy, Gold and Pink
Thursday, March 17, 2011 Glitter gold, navy and fuchsia pink with hints of red and yellow? What have I done?! It's been a long time coming, but I've finally finished my cousin's wedding inspiration board...version two. The first board was so lovely in yellow and grey, but not her style at all. She's glamorous, colorful and eclectic. This was quite a challenge for me since I adore soft neutrals, but I think she'll be happy with the new direction of her wedding style board. I'll continue to create more boards until her vision of her perfect wedding is visualized. She rocks!
Remember, her wedding will be at sunset on the beach, so all of this color will be absorbed by the sand, sky and water. Here's what I'm imagining...the colorful layered kilim rugs and glamorous throw pillows invite guests to relax and enjoy the casual ceremony on the beach {off the sand}. The pink paper lanterns and dramatic shell-strug chandelier will be hung around the altar's canopy as a shapely and colorful focal point. The bride's embellished gown is made of a cream silk-chiffon giving it a subtly exotic edge from Temperley London. The bride's accessories - metallic bangles, a chunky, twisted and layered necklace, and carrying pink and red flowers. Shoes may not be required, but I imagine my cousin in these glitter sling backs from Jimmy Choo! The bridesmaids will be in navy blue and champagne with chunky, glittery accents. I'm not even sure if she's having a wedding cake, but I had to throw in this sensational glitter gold-frosted cake.
I've pinned many more ideas to my Pinterest board, "Cousin's Wedding" if you want to see more.

Very fun! Love the colors, perfect sunset colors. I have been helping my cousin with her upcoming wedding too. I posted recently about some flowers I made for her, they remind me of the ones on the clutches in your board.

Fabulous, Chanee! So gorgeous and sophisticated!
I wish I were getting married again so that my big day could be this stunning! I'm in love with that cake. Cheers!
love the navy blue, fuchsia and gold combination. i'm not a color person either but this is just stunning.
You have outdone yourself for your cousin! What did she think?
Thanks for all of the sweet comments! Good news, my cousin really liked the color combo and is even considering foregoing the traditional white gown for a hot pink one! This is her second wedding and will have a less formal style, so I think a hot pink dress would be so cute and appropriate for her personality/style.
